Hi, Has anyone heard the Doctors Night Guard commerical?? The sounds of TEETH GRINDING!!! GROSS!!! I RUN to the radio to shut it off. The spot actually grosses my out. I asked a person in production about this. He said he doesn`t know how Phones Ringing, Sirens blowing , or Teeth grinding is allowed in commericals. I agree. I`d love to do SOMETHING about getting that spot OFF the air!! Any thoughts???
Cheers

You can throw out your radio. Then you won't have to worry about hearing it anymore..... (OR) perhaps you can try the typical method of just changing the station when you don't like what you hear.

Whoa. Coming from someone never shy about giving opinions this surprises me John. Can we chalk it up to your having a bad day? You pretty much accept the bad with the good when it comes to discussions.

My Best to you,
Chatty.

You know what I hate and it has nothing to do with that spot specifically but any spot with traffic horns, sirens,or cell phones. If I'm driving I always have to wonder if they're coming from the radio or not. So I slow down and grab the phone and then I know it's really the spot.

Thank you,
Chatty.

Yeah.. the cell phone thing on the Radio gets me all the time. I often think that it's "MY" phone ringing! I seriously don't think a person can do much about it. You honestly can't tell sponsors how to record their commercials. That's up to them. If they want a cell phone ringing or sounds of someone vomiting in their ad, then that's their decision. No station is going to pass up the money. Especially in todays competitive Radio landscape.

>......... It`s 4.50 am , HOW DO YOU DO THAT??????? On a serious note. On Calf inter state 5, thier was a fatal car crash. An ad would play with a siren and Police voice ordering " PULL OVER". The 73 year old woman hearing the ad plowed into a van with 4 kids and a mom driving . The 4 year old was killed at the seen. This happened in 2003 Sept. Calf. Highway Patrol sighted the radio ad as a major factor..
