Does anyone at KNX listen to KFWB?

OK, at 2:38, KNX runs a tease: "Wait til you hear what happened at the Dodger game. Sports next."

So I switch down to sister KFWB. Charlie Steiner is hyperventilating about about James Loney hitting 9 RBIs, breaking an LA Dodgers record that has stood since 1950.

So I switch back to KNX. Randy Kerdoon is on a tape (or whatever), so the afternoon chatchick gives the score: 16-9 before going to the prerecorded sportcast. No mention of the record.

You would think someone at 1070 would know that something big was just broadcast on 980. Their control rooms are how many feet apart?

The problem is the inept Hall-O-Tron device that CBS has installed
in the Wilshire building. It sits right in between the control rooms
and continually spews out bad data which steers each station
further off course and ultimately into oblivion.

Apparently the only way to reverse the "trend" (pun intended) is to
disconnect its brain, but so far no one in authority can be convinced
that it needs to be done.
