Does anyone besides me think AC today is a joke?

Music Lover's hubby adding my two cents.

Just because they've faced a similar experience does not make them the same. Don't falsely assume things about people you don't know.

Sorry, but I'm extremely skeptical, and I base my skepticism on certain similarities and inconvenient (for you) facts.

I've also already shared them with the moderation team, in case you thought you might "report" me for making these observations, and the moderators know they can always delete my posts without my becoming upset about it.

I feel like I've traveled back to elementary school. I suggest they take their childishness off board.

I second that. I'm studying broadcasting. Came here to learn something useful. All I see is a bunch of arguing. If you don't have anything nice to say to each other, then don't say it.

I don't appreciate being falsely accused of being a liar either and will no longer be posting on this board. Good day to you all.

Probably because you're both the same person.

Thought that was illegal on these boards. Yeah, I was warned once years ago, when my password was not working and I tried registering under oldies67 instead, but that was under radio-info back then.

I've been checking out that station. You're not going to like it.
I appreciate that. Apparently I looked at the fact the station was going to play 60s music and made an assumption. I didn't like the station when it was "Yes" so what you're saying is it'll be worse.

I have an idea what this may be like. I was in a mall yesterday and there were songs of the type an AC these days might play, except they were old. And yet I heard something soft from The Jackson 5 and "Horse with No Name" from America. Not 60s, but certainly very much out of character for this high-energy music tha does not contribute to my shopping experience.

I agree with Frank and that is the heart of my relatively mild attacks.

There is a great difference between what oldies76 did to get around a password problem and these hit-and-run guest postings. Oldies did not make an attempt to conceal who he was, he simply abandoned an old login that was not working and created a new one which was close enough to the old one that it was obvious he was the same person. (Despite the fact that we sometimes argue, I do have respect for his honesty and openness.)

It is my opinion, which I have shared with management, that people should not hide behind anonymous "guest" posts. As has been explained to me, those guest postings are the hardest to track down if there is a problem and I don't think we should make it easier for people to cause problems and stay hidden from view.

I also think every person who posts should have their own login. None of this "Music Lover's husband" nonsense. You want to post, create a second login so we know right away, without your disclaimer, that it's you posting.

And anyone who can Google "Leia Durane" can see why I believe that "guest" ID and "Han Solo" are one and the same person. And no, "I share a computer so I can't have my own e-mail" is not a good excuse ... it is the weakest excuse in the world. This is the 21st Century. E-mail is ubiquitous.

There. Rant over. All out in the open, unlike some people here.

It is not "illegal" to have multiple accounts. The reason I will accept more than one, and up to two accounts would be for the following:

1. A public account that is who you say you are, for authority on the subject matter
2. An anonymous account to use in the event that you need to vent, or to share information that could be harmful to your employment

Hope that helps clear that up.

I'm holding off on my skepticism until the family cat chimes in.

It's funny how all of you say "good day to you" or "good day to you all" when pretending to leave the board.

Sad to see you go. Enjoyed your posts. Gonna miss you.
