Does anyone dx Alabama?

We're a hard state to dx. I live here and can only get 3 in state stations on a regular basis. 2 local and 1 or 2 from Birmingham, which is 50 miles south.

I assume you're talking AM. Which 4 stations do you get regularly? WEUV, WJOX, WAPI, and WVNN?

Here in Ragland, I get WJOX, WCKS, WAPI, WFHK(when cheating, which it hasn't done lately, so I was finally able to log WIL-St. Louis), and WEUV pretty much 24/7. WDLT/660 from Fairhope, AL comes in over WFAN almost every night, too.

I'm in Cullman, so I get our WFMH and WMCJ. 960 and 610 and sometimes 850 from B'ham make it. KOA usually wins the battle of 850.

Funny that the Alabamans have a hard time hearing their own stations. Here in Southern Michigan, i've heard the following Alabama stations

WXJC 850 B'Ham
WJOX 690 B'Ham- Usually strong after sunrise
WTSK 790 Tuscaloosa
WEUV 1700 Huntsville

Do any of you in Alabama DX any Michigan AM stations? <P ID="signature">______________

The only Michigan stations I've ever heard here in Alabama are the two big Detroit boomers WJR and WXYT. Are there any stations in other parts of the state that put some good skywave southward?

I would try 1660 WQSN from Kalamazoo or 1680 WDSS from Ada (Grand Rapids) Those would be your best bets for other Michigan stations. <P ID="signature">______________

A year ago, at my cousin's house in northwest Indiana, I got an AM station out of Jackson County. Don't remember the station name or frequency.<P ID="signature">______________

Every once in a while I'll get 1550 WLOR here in southern Indiana. It's usually in the early evening.
