Does anyone know Matt Evans, producer?

I am trying to find some background information on Matthew Evans. I know he recently worked for KingFM and JACK but has moved to another radio station in the Seattle area as a program director.

Can anyone give me a brief history of awards he has won or projects he has completed?

Don't know much about him. I know he moderates the 'other' board and his bio says 'Homepage: www.bloog.com -
Gender: Male - Location: Seattle, WA -Occupation: Radio Broadcasting - Biography: Over my 6 years in radio, I have worked for the following radio stations : KLSY-FM, KIXI-AM, KRWM-FM, KING-FM, KUOW-FM . My career goal is to become a Program Director.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, that is the bloog that he writes about himself and he has the same information on his myspace site. I am trying to find anyone who actually knows him and his work. One that I can talk to - not email.

I was under the impression that he was one of the owners of this board when it originally started.

Thanks for the help.

He was never A) an owner of this board (he was simply a moderater before changes took place) B) a program directer. That much I know for sure.

Read the blog. Looks like a p/t wannabee.

Program Director? Not so much.

I think I used the wrong word "owner". I believe I heard he had taken over the sight when somone had passed away, but that the family took it back from him and his team. that is when they formed the other site he moderates. I am paraphrasing but that is the gist of what I was told.

When you say a p/t wannabe and program director "Not so much" does that mean he has never been a program director here in Seattle? hmmmmm

according to his website he has worked for many radio stations and I am getting the impression that the positions weren't parttime but had to do with producing.

I hate to sound skeptical but I am trying to follow up on a project that he is working on and need to talk to someone who knows him personally. The challenge I am having is there is nothing when I google him (awards, projects etc.)

thanks for all your help guys, I appreciate it.

Matt's been a producer at Sandusky and several other stations around town. Never been at PD at a commercial station. He may have been at Non-com KMIH-FM...

Tower, I have only been able to confirm his work at KingFM. Do you know where and when he worked at other stations? KLSY doesn't remember him - though I was told he was the Program Director there in May/June when they did the switch to Movin92. That was news to Lisa Adams when I asked <grin>.

It is very difficult to find out information on radio folk as they seem to move around alot. I am not in the industry so I am not sure if this is the norm.

Just out of curiousity, why do you want to know this info? Do you think his resume is a complete lie? No clue who the guy is, but just watching this post, you are extremely aggressive in finding out who this guy is (calling his former employers, etc.) Plus, you're not even in the industry. Just curious.

To funny.

He was NOT a PD @ KLSY. He produced a morning show there that left years ago. The last thing I know about him was he was a board op @ KING.

You can post the 'I thought he was a PD' question a thousand more times on here, and the answer will be the same each time. He was NEVER a PD.

and from what I hear from that former morning show at KLSY he was never the producer there either. The only producer from that morning show was "Brian The Producer"

You are correct, I am not in the industry and I am following up on a "resume" of sorts.

The information I am asking about came directly from Matt himself.

Actually there is much more but I figured if I asked one question and got an answer it would answer the others.

Put it down to doing my due dilegence. If someone gives me a list of things they have done I usually check it out. I also believe in asking the experts, which after monitoring this bulletin board for a couple of months I could tell you all are. If anyone was doing anything here in the NW in regard to radio, someone here would know.

I want to thank you as you have given me the information I need to move forward.

I'm curious as to why anybody would go to a board like this to learn info on someone that probably is half BS at best??
There are alot better sites to learn about someone that cost a few bucks. Sounds like your trying to slam ol' Matt. I though he did a great job on the old board and that's good enough.

Karate,

Matt started was producer at KLSY/KIXI back in the Bobby Irwin as KLSY PD days. Staff that might remember him is mostly gone. He was never a PD at KLSY/KIXI.
