Does anyone know what happened to KJR's Mark Jeffries (from the 70's)?

The best years, as most would agree, for KJR 95 was the 70's. Tracy Mitchel and Mark Jefferies. Mark did evenings. Does anyone know what happened to Mark? I remember he left for KISW to go work as an AE in Sales. He was my all-time favorite talent at JR. Anyone?

Saw Mark a couple years ago at Bobby Simon's memorial; so I believe he is still in the area. Think he mentioned what he is doing ... but I am old and most days can't remember to differentiate between my toilet and my dishwasher!!

Mark left KISW in '87 as part of the KXRX exodus and became the station's first sales manager. Last I heard, I believe he's owner or part owner of a radio station in Lewiston, Idaho.

Hmmmm. Watch out for that "scrubbing bubbles action."

I think he owns a cluster of stations in the Lewiston, ID market. Nice guy...

I really think the guy had a lot of talent too. I don't know why they didn't fire Charlie Brown and put Jeffries on in the morning and pay him three times as much; he filled in a lot for Charlie. I don't know why they didn't fire LockJock and put Jeffries in afternoons. Hell, they should have fired Pat O'day. Oh, I guess he was already gone by then.

Mark Jeffries is Chuck Bolland's little brother "And that's the way the ball bounces". Quite a lot younger. He's alive and well in Lewiston, Idaho. I have, I mean, he has a small group of 15 stations in Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Lewiston, La Grande and Baker City.

Thanks for the kind words. Seattle; KJR, KISW and KXRX was a great ride with a lot of crazy, genious, whacko subversives.

Go Cougs!
