Does anyone know what has happened to frosty stillwell on kfi???

I liek his show alot and the past few sundays from 4-7 he has been absent and no mention of him?I wonder if he got a full time gig somewhere on radio?

Does anyone know i think he is a great fit for talk radio an it would be a shame if kfi just let him go for no good reason???

Hopefully he will be back but who knows

Thanks peeps

Don Barret said this morning he is out.

Not that this would have made a difference, but after his KABC gig was done, he took the he took the "y" off of his name. I think he said that was to make his on-air name closer to his real name, or at least what his friends and family actually call him. Then a few months ago, I think he came to the realization that changing your on-air name and trying to find a new full-time gig at the same time is not a particularly good strategy, so he went back to being Frosty. Now, even more listener confusion sets in.

It was cute to hear The Triplets try to sew a replacement fill silk pouch out of pig's straw ear on KABC. Fact of the matter is their brand of FM talk could never bridge the gap between AM and FM listening earholes. Especially on a stodgy, moth-ball riddled, Polident smelling dump like KABC. Frank could only talk about weed for so long before he had to give a shoutout to Acorn Stairlifts.

What delights me to no end is to hear "Timmy, me boy" continue to plod along weeknight after weeknight on super boomer Sixty-Four KFI.

The best voices were culled from the ashes of KLSX and those that are currently employed, still remain on air.

I don’t know why but it sort of depresses me. At one point these three were pulling in hundreds of thousands of dollars each at KLSX and it seems like in a blink of an eye, Frank lost his home, Heidi was selling stuff on Ebay and now Frosty gave up a weekend gig and may be moving out of town since nothing full time is coming his way. It sucks being that age and realizing the world around you has changed and there are no jobs around for guys (and gals) in that age range.

I have to agree with Asian parents and “force” your kids into Medicine. It’s not easy and you work long hours but hey you will never be out of a job. Ever heard of an unemployed surgeon?

I thought Stillwell was terrible by himself. He really needs Heidi and Frank with him or perhaps retire from radio and get a job at McDonald's. lol

STILWELL'S PLANS

Frost Stilwell, ex-KFI/640 AM weekends, has not announced his future plans yet, but he may be considering Denver for his next opportunity. He e-mailed LARadio.com's Don Barrett, "I'd expected to head back to Denver, a city I love, when the FHF (Frosty, Heidi & Frank) show ended at KABC. I stayed around for the part-time gig as long as I could. But spring is about to become summer, and my 'semi-retired' label has an itch underneath it too strong to ignore much longer.

"Maybe it's time to sell the ridiculously expensive Hollywood Hills home and get back to work, wherever work can be found these days in our industry. My beloved Denver is in my sights once again and I am happily moving in that direction. Stay tuned."
