DOES ANYONE KNOW WHEN SOMETHING IS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN TO THE EAGLE?

FWIW Citadel's DC station just flipped to True Oldies + Imus in the AM...looks like a trend to me...

When 106.7 flips, what happens to Y104? Oh wait, wrong decade.

<sarcasm> Imus pulled great numbers for 790 and Talk Radio 1340/1230. This is a winning plan. <\sarcasm>

You're right, this won't do much in the way of ratings, but that doesn't matter. Citadel needs Atlanta when it sells the Imus syndication to national advertisers. That's the reason for this. And of course it doesn't hurt that they won't have to pay for a local morning show.

And using True Oldies is a way not to have to pay for any local talent the rest of the time.

Even with low ratings, the station should generate a profit because the overhead will be so low. I don't think anyone at Citadel is really expecting much in terms of ratings.

I would think that a flip wouldn't occur until Monday at the earliest since NASCAR is in town this weekend. My second choice may be too far down the line, but April 1st is the start of a new month and a new quarter. It also gives them time to plan what to do with KICKS and how to arrange their lineup there.

I think we already know the lineup. Caddy and Dallas in the morning, some girl with a funky name at middays (cheap), Bill Cellar will drive you home and voicetracking at night. That is sad that Major market is no longer staffing a full deck of live talent. Kiss radio goodbye! I hope nobody is signing up for the school of broadcasting...

If it's the True Oldies Channel, then your lineup will be Imus in the morning followed by Scott Shannon for the other 20 hours of the day.

That is Kicks Lineup... Eagle will be Imus and True Oldies... Duh!
