Are you sure the problem is with your radio and not with your city? I've been to Dayton last year, and in many ways it epitomizes the Rust Belt. Unlike nearby Cincinnati or Columbus, Dayton looked sad and dreary. The only bright spot is perhaps that nearby Springfield looks even worse!
Yes, we get it - you're not a fan of Premium Choice. Many of us aren't, and Z-93 was a great CHR for Dayton. Yet look at what Channel 94-5 still brings to the table:
a) one of the best morning shows in the world courtesy of New York's Z-100
b) On Air With Ryan Seacrest out of 102.7 KIIS FM, which the CHR female audience seems to love
c) The station still plays all the hits. Not just the Rhythmic ones, not just the adult or Rock ones. All the big national hits are played.
This past hour the station played
1. Kevin Lyttle - Turn Me On
2. T.i. - Whatever You Like
3. Paramore - Misery Business
4. Jamie Foxx / T-pain - Blame It
5. Kid Cudi - Day N Nite
6. Pink - Please Don't Leave Me
7. Jeremih - Birthday Sex
8. Beyonce - Halo
9. Lady Gaga - Poker Face
10. Taylor Swift - You Belong With Me
Would you rather be stuck with a Cumulus-based CHR? Or perhaps you want an overly Rhythmic leaning CHR like Channel 95-5 Detroit?
At least Dayton still has a CHR station. Who knows, maybe another company will seize the day and launch another CHR that's a lot more live and local. Till then you can either move to a city where there's a better CHR that suit your needs, or you can listen to Premium Choice 94-5 along with countless other CHRs from across the world via the internet.
