Does anyone see WQSR flipping in the next year.

Who know`s there are not a lot of formats that they can flip it to without spending some money which CC does not want to do. They should go crossover a la WPGC a cross between 92Q and sister station Z104.3

To my knowledge, Light-102 an Jack FM are owned by the same company, and since 102 has already switched to X-mas, no need for Jack to do the same, and no need for them to compete against their own station in any format flip.

? Lite is owned by CBS. Jack is owned by Clear Channel.

I dont think going Christmas is a good idea anyway, I mean one Christmas station is enough, But going back to oldies could be an option.

I guess you were un-aware that CBS swapped WQSR for two Clear Channel stations back in 2009

They won't flip. Variety Hits is Clear Channel's newest thing. Launching 101.7 the Harbor in Boston and transitioning The River 105.9 in Hartford, CT to the format. The River still has personalities albeit VT'd.

Actually, WHBA/Boston dropped Adult Hits on December 20, 2012 and became EDM-formatted "Evolution 101.7." However, it'll be interesting to see what happens in 2013, given Clear Channel's recent format flips in St. Louis (KBWX to Rhythmic), Salt Lake City (KOSY to Active Rock) and San Diego (KOGO-FM to Rhythmic AC/Oldies).

I don't see any changes at WQSR. Last I heard, it was billing well above its ratings share and cost very little to operate.

Too bad about QSR. Once upon a time it was a great oldies/classic hits station. There's another one, much smaller really, that is working on going the same way in the not too distant future.

Mix is continuously evolving towards CHR, they're just taking it very slowly. Look at their playlist..."Alive" by Krewella? Not a Hot AC track, definitely CHR.
