Does anyone still listen?

Up here in the bay area, we do not get the Extravaganza because 1050 and 680 simulcast some other nonsense during the morning hours. 1050 does have FSR in the afternoons and evenings though (unless pre-empted by a game), so I'll listen to JT the Brick sometimes.

You mean that the Extravaganza is still on? Geez, it will never be the same without Van hurl!

Otherwise, who is FSR again? :)
______________

no.
just to bruno and rome.

I really like Czaban but they made him unavalible to me by putting him so early.
I kinda like Chris Meyers and Bryan Cox but local covers them up.

All the rest blows.

Not since Tony Bruno left, I've since got XM, so Bruno on SNR, and MLB Home Plate with Bowa, Martines & Mark Patrick are on my presets. I do like FSR on the weekends with Shemon/Mora tho.

You know- I used to keep my dial set on FOX Sports.

There are a few shows I really enjoy- Scott Ferrall in Saturday morning- Ben Maller- even Bruce Jacobs.

But I can honestly say that the amount of time I have spent listening to them has gone down considerably.

As far as the Extravaganza- I have actually taken to listening to ANYTHING but that monstrosity.

The entire morning needs to be scrapped. All of it.

I, like many of you, don't listen much anymore. On XM, SNR has become my number one option, then followed by ESPN. Sometimes I will switch over to FSR to see how bad things really are......and they are bad. Yesterday, Brian Cox was talking and it took me maybe ten seconds to change the station. Here in San Antonio, The Morning Fiasco, I mean Extravaganza is only on for one hour and the afternoon drive is replaced by local guys also. And remember, all this is at the station that Ashwood left before leaving to dismante FSR. I will listen to Scotty F. on Sunday mornings. He's about the only thing they have going. Jacobs is buried in the night, so he doesn't get the exposure he should. I'm still waiting for FSR to sign off for good.

Yea they put the best host on at horrible time slots either too early or too late and have these terrible shows. I am lucky that I only get the Extravaganza for an hour here and Meyers/Cox also but too bad I get the whole JT the Prick show. Ferrall needs to be on in primetime!

FSR is my only option for sports talk radio here in Des Moines. That said, when i've forced myself to listen to Extravanganza, which is on a a tape delayed basis, if this tells you anything, the local station (KXNO) runs mostly promos during local breaks, ditto for Rome.

Guys,

Are you crazy? FSR has now gone over 260 stations and has never been stronger. So after all the hype about how Bruno and Snoring News Radio will be shutting Fox down for good....The "Great" Bruno snagged Indianapolis and Charlottesville, VA from the Extravaganza. Thats it. BFD.

Did you catch the new lineup on WPEN/Philadelphia? They picked up Czaban & JT from FSR. Not bad for a network that is supposedly on its way out.

By the way, I'm still waiting for the Kiley & Booms Press release.....Where are they? Its amazing to me that SNR can't even get a deal done with two guys who have been out of work for over two years.

How many of those 260 stations are owned by Clear Channel? Here in Iowa, all but 2 stations that carry any sort of FSR programming are owned by Clear Channel. The CC owned stations that carry FSR off the top of my head are Sioux City, Mason City, Ames, Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, and Iowa City.

If it weren't for Clear Channel, FSR would be on life support.

Probably 50 percent. But so what? Do you not count WLS, WABC and KABC as part of the ABC affiliate base becasue they own the stations?

the only FSR show i listen to is Bruce Jacobs on Saturday nights 12-3 EST. Probably the most entertaining show on FSR. Bruce is funny and not afraid to speak his mind. other than that, FSR is really not worth listening too. well, myers is ok, but other than that, I'll stick with ESPN on the weekdays

Race Day on Fox appeared in Yahoo Podcasts. Maybe the rest of the FSR lineup will soon follow? At least Czabe. He's the best thing left on FSR.
______________

The S&S Extravaganza is funny on the cross talk with Czaban, but they sound so much alike I don't know what it would be like to listen to 3 hours of that. They both take so long just to get a thought out.
______________

Kiley & Booms is the only salvation for morning drive on Fox Sports Radio.

Jacobs

One thing. For him to have a larger role on FSR he's got to develop something more than the "I am the biggest NY Jets fan living in Phoenix" schtick he has.

I like him- but you can get away with this one trick on a weekly show. For a daily show you've got to have more.

I like Ferrall and hope his role is expanded. What I hate is his 9 a.m. Sat. morning show here is sacrificed for a tout who buys the time on our local affiliate.

My thoughts exactly. If FSR was really serious about getting their listner base back for the morning show, they'll dump the remnants of the 'Andrew and whoever else this week' show and put Kiley and Booms in that slot. It's obvious that people like them, and their humor and overall attitude would be perfect for that time slot.
______________

Here in Fresno it has been replaced with Tom Leykis from the previous day.
In Fresno we have FSR on 1340,ESPN on 1430 and SNR on 1550 and I must say I went with 1550 SNR and ripped off the knob, although I do listen to FSR on the weekends for Bruce Jacobs and Ben Maller...
