Does anyone think this might be possible?

KRLD doesn't have baseball to run in the evenings now. So what about getting that national waste of air-time off and bringing in Dan Potter to host an evening talk show? Will KRLD management spend the money?

Even better, how about getting rid of all the hot-air talk show hosts and concentrate on just reporting the news around the world and the Metroplex 24/7? Now THAT would be a radical concept.

I agree. I still think that Dallas could support an all-news station if someone with the brains would step in and make it happen. But that of course would cost money.

First off Dan Potter isn't talk show material. Kind of a Ted Baxter type. KRLD and the current mnagement would never support an all-news format. To be done right it would require a complete staff of experienced proven talent and time to develope neither which the "Fitzhugh" mentality is ready to do.

There are strong rumours about KRLD the next to be sold,so i doubt they would bring in Dan Potter or change to an all news format. With that said,IF KTXA early newscast shows strong legs, then they may try to see if if there is a market for it in the evening on radio. Charley Jones would be safe.
