Does Emily Rooney know where West Roxbury is?

Caught Emily Rooney chatting with Jay Severin this afternoon.

They chatted about the 2 firefighters who died in last night's fire. Emily commented on how 100 firefighters arrived at a fire at a Chinese restaurant in an inner city neighborhood. How remarkable it was that the fire department would send so many resources into a poor neighborhood. The story in coming days, according to Emily, would be how the fire department arrived color blind.

Does Emily Rooney even know where West Roxbury is? Or was she simply too busy to brush up on her facts and thought she was going a story on Roxbury?
Of course Jay Severin wasn't able to correct her, the dude knows nothing about Boston, and apparently neither does Emily.
 
Maybe one of her Moonbat friends at the Weston tennis club can clue her.........ahhhh...... fuggetaboutit! ::)
 
Most of these" Out of Touch "city Pro, dont know if there on Washington Street in Dorchester, or on Washington Street in Roxbury . A Voicetrack DJ on Jamn 94.5( Reading a add for a new store ) said " store grand opening sale, going on now in Mattapond" .

She's the host of a nightly talk show called "Greater Boston". How does she not know West Roxbury? Especially for a major story. Talk about a limosine liberal.

Ha ha ha. It's funny how much of a joke radio really is, no matter how much the people who run the stations beat their chests otherwise.
 
I heard that! I was looking for a reference in Phoenix or Dan Kennedy blog or Globe or Herald or somewhere. That was so baaaaaaad. I was wincing and driving. UGH. The fact that no one wrote about it shows you how in bed all the media types are with her and it makes me glad there's a few people who actually know the city still working on TV and radio. A few.
She should mention it on her own show--that would be a class act.
 
Ya think she'll lambaste her own keister for not knowing the diff 'tween The Bury and WEST Roxbury tonite @ 7 on with that nest of Moonbats?.......I'll have to cancel my slot at the Tennis club tonight and tune in........NOT!! ::)
 
How can you live in Boston--let alone be in the media--and not know that there's a HUGE difference between West Roxbury and Roxbury.

A similar, related problem occurs when something bad happens in Dorchester, Roxbury, or Mattapan. The interns at the Globe or AP spin the wheel and pick a location--usually Dorchester--as the scene of the crime. Nobody seems to know (or care) where it actually happened. All the same to them I guess.
