Does Equity Care About 93.1/102.3/105.5 ??

I spent last week down in Widlwood & Cape May and I got a good amount of time checking out the radio dial....I was pretty surprised to see how bad the Equity stations sounded (93.1 WEZW/102.3 WAIV/105.5 WSNQ)

93.1 WEZW - They spent the whole day Friday off the air and filled with static...But at least their audio sounded ok when it was on the air....It was also the only Equity station down there with RDS.

102.3 WAIV - Spent several days with their audio low and it was only coming in on the right speakers of my car....They were also running nothing but dead air all Friday morning....When it came back the audio was still low but at least I was able to hear it on both left and right speakers

105.5 WSNQ - Audio was lousy, distorted and filled with static.....It seemed like the station was not tuned in properly....And the sad thing is, I have been saying for the last two years that 105.5's audio is lousy....You have a clearer and cleaner signal by listening to 99.3 down there.

I can't really see anyone listening to these stations.....You have better audio from 95.1, 96.1, & 99.3 even with the static......And while 93.1, 102.3, & 105.5 are all Class A stations, it was sad that little translator 95.5 W238BL had better audio than all three.

Those stations came as a bundle when gary bought them... I don't think even when they sound good they contribute that much to the ratings... maybe a 0.5 or something.. but still, if you bother to have the license then you should at least try and keep them on the air with a listenable sound... this goes back to gary not really caring about radio, he just wants to squeeze the money out... why else would you speed rock music up on ZXL??? only reason I can figure is to get more commercials in while still playing as many songs / hour...

I agree!! 105.5 is ALWAYS STATIC!! -doesn't come in past Rio Grande anymore
99.3 comes in better in cape may then 105.5fm.
102.3 is also off the air all the time.
