So what is this myspace thing? I've seen on here that at least two area jocks have pages on this site (Davey Morris and Ron Medeiros). Is this the in thing now for radio types? Anyone else have a space?

Well it's not really a radio thing. It's just a people thing. The site now owned by Rupert Murdoch boasts 35 million members. It's an absolutely free Networking site where you can customize your own page and meet new friends. Often times you can turn it into something more. I've already had two girlfriends from myspace. This will eventually put all Dating sites out of Business since myspace is absolutely 100 percent free! You don't pay for a damn thing. You can post Blogs, photos, Bulletins and anything else your heart desires. It's an awsome way to get your name out there and expand your social circle. I highly recommend it.

Yeah agreed. Myspace is by far the best networking tool I've ever used. From chatting it up with DJ's I have idolized for years like I've known them FOR YEARS, to eventually flying out 3000 miles to meet a girl I had been talking to...it cannot hurt to have one.

Also it gives your listeners (at least if you have a younger demo) a feeling of them being able to have access to you...i.e. Jackson Blue. He started a myspace, gave the URL onair, and had 300 friends by the end of the day.

All and all, get one. It's free.

Well no offense to either of you but aaahhh radio before the internet. We ought to get a discussion going of what it was like.

Radio before the internet was better. Unfortunately you had no place to go talk about it! :)

Agreed. Radio before any computer that could run automation, and in turn voicetracking, was better.
