Does Fox102 still have the NASCAR Broadcasts?

Wow, during Sunday's scheduled time of the 500, no Columbia channels had any NASCAR on the air.

(Could barely pick it up on 92.5 WESC)

So no PRN/MRN this year in this market.

I wonder why this is? I figured they could have shoved it to an AM station.

PS: The only way to pay attention to NASCAR is to watch on TV or in person. So this is why I figured no station picked it up.

Eagle 105.7 dropped it also.

The reason is that they require you to also run the Nationwide Race and a bunch of other programming that has limited local avails, in addition to a cash fee. They are putting themselves out of business.

also the ban on streaming is lifted. pick a station that carries the races and stream them. wesc is a good example.

You can aslo go to Motor Racing Network's web site which I believe is mrnradio.com and stream them there.

Interstate 107 Country from northern SC streamed all Daytona races. I could not get MRN to work on my Android phone.

We asked NASCAR if our station could work on a deal to run the races and was told we were too small to work any kind of deal with, I thought gee let's see no good coverage in our area, some of our listeners have asked about it, we have a really good size listening audience everywhere we can be heard, yeah that makes sense but only to NASCAR. I figured it must be a money thing or lack of it for NASCAR. 2+2=0 NASCAR figures not mine.

WJKB runs them in Charleston.
Speaking of PRN they have almost gotten better than MRN IMO.
It does seem that many stations have dropped the races lately or moved them to smaller signals.
