Does KBLU stream?

Hello there. I am not from New Mexico. However, I am interested in one of your stations: The chill, or Jazz/Chill, or "World Experience" (whatever it is) format of KBLU "Blue" (102.9) in Santa Fae, NM. I would like to hear this station, and have been on a quest to do just that. First, I went to radiostationworld.com, a site that, among other things, lists radio stations, and provides online streams for them if available. There is an online stream listed for this station on the New Mexico page in radiostationworld, but it doesn't work. I then visited the KBLU website, and found a listen link, but no stream available. I then emailed the company that owns KBLU, but have gotten no response after emailing them several times. So, I'm asking you New Mexicans that are in the know, and can listen to this thing: Does KBLU stream online? If so, can you please send me a link? I'd really, really, really, really, really like to hear what they sound like.

Now, I don't want this to turn into a thread about whether or not KBLU's Fformat is viable. If you chill music haters wanna engage in this discussion, please create another thread. I just want an answer to my question. Thank you.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunatly, it doesn't work, or at least, not on this computer. Does it work for you? Maybe it's a Santa Fae only stream. Anyway, when I visited the link, my computer talking software told me what was playing on the station, then gave me a list of concerts. Weird.

From what I hear, they're not streaming right now. But, I have heard that their website is getting a huge overhaul, like Hutton did with two of their other stations, and that streaming is definitely in the near future.
 
I can't get the stream to work on any of my computers, either (I'm in Houston.) Seems odd they would have a listen button that doesn't do anything, and it has been that way for several months now.

I used to listen to KLBU a lot online under the previous ownership, and really enjoyed the format. However, on a recent trip to Santa Fe I was disappointed in the playlist changes Hutton has made. Much better Chill material elsewhere on the Internet, such as 1.fm and sky.fm.
 
Mediafrog is correct...blu's format changed after Hutton Broadcasting absorbed it.
its not streaming, but none of his others do either. oh, and blu's site will wind up getting the same overhaul the others did - a big advertising facade. have you seen these sites? they may well as be a Autotrader website with a radio station in the middle of the page. anyhoo, One of the big reasons blu changed is that they let the pd of the entire organization put his hands on it and it, like the once heritage triple-a he has programmed into an utter mess, blu no longer is a chill station but meanders all over. smooth jazz, a 9 minute hammond b-3 noodling (or so it would seem), and then a bright spot (Thievery Corp) from the library that the previous owners were building. given a little more time, the 2 people (I understand joann orner was one of them) that were programming blu before could have turned it into a world class station - it was on its way in many circles. now, well, it sounds like kbac -a train wreck of music. I can't believe Hutton let his pd drive a once solid, by definition triple-a, so far off the map. If he thinks that project station is covering the ground left behind by kbac, then he deserves nothing more than a new station to come in and show him how its done.
 
huh joann is still the pd for blu. i have a friend that worked at hutton, they said joann is the pd. & is just changing around a little to do some testing.

CarltonFisk: You called the current format a "train wreck" and "a mess." I respect your right to your opinion. However, personally, I would actually enjoy hearing what is described in the above quote. That actually sounds like a good format, in my opinion. Now I really hope "Blu" streams, because I think I will enjoy what is offered.
