Does Nawt Providence hate Dan Yawke?

OK the WALE stuff is fun but let's get back to reality. This may be old news but in the June edition of The Federal Hill Gazette Dan Yorke is whacked slammed for his comments equating North Providence politics with being Italian. There's a guest commentary by Joe Vileno who apparently has a cable show called Viewpoint in which he claims Yorke demeans & ridicules Italians. There's mention of Dan using "youse guys" speech patterns, playing Volare as a background theme for North Providence politics, assigning mafia-type nicknames to John Sisto's campaign staff, & mentioning that some poll workers wore black leather coats on election day. He recommends people not complain, since Yorke thrives on controversy, but encourages those who agree with him to not listen or advertise on Yorke's show. You'd have to pick up a free copy of The Gazette to read the entire commentary. One more person confusing entertainment with whatever.

It's on the same page as an ad for a book called Where's The Minestrone? ;D

If you listen to Dan Yorke, you know it's the Mollis gang trying to hurt Yorke.
He never was going after anyone , except Bubble gum gangster politicans in North Prov.
The paper of which you speak,has TWO convicted felons working there. One of the two,
is an associate of organized crime.

I have heard Dan Yorke saying he would expect it more in Johnston but that people in North Providence are more afraid of local government.He has said people e-mailing or phoning his or Matt Allen's voice mail from North Providence with info or tips seem paranoid about remaining anonymous.He wasn't allowed to use the N word on the air so I doubt that WPRO management thinks his Italian bits are offensive or they wouldn't allow it.
 
I'm from North Providence.I used to hate Dan Yorke but overcame that a long time ago. I think he has done a great service to North Providence on spilling the beans on things I would be blind too.

I'm not gonna comment on the North Providence posts here. As I don't know the full story. But I did hear
Dan tell Matt Allen. That next Tuesday they will be broadcasting live at the State House. Because someone
in a leadership position is dodging Dan & his show. So as Dan put it. His show is "Waging War". And its nothing
personal.
