Does the Score finally hit fm

Strongly doubt it’s Houston unless Audacy or iHeart acquire an additional FM signal to run their respective sportstalkers in the market. Won’t completely rule it out, however.

Edit to add: From the RI Bluesky post it would appear it’s a market that currently does NOT have an FM sportstalker. LA? Chicago? (Houston already has basketcase KFNC on FM.)

Makes sense. It would allow them to use the WBBM-FM letters for the news simulcast.

They have a solid local sports talk staff in place. No need to hire anyone.

They haven't found a viable lane for B96. They've been trying for years.

Interesting. I figured it would go to 96 rather than 104.3. Audacy seems to like classic hip hop in major markets right now.
my first check was for 963thescore.com, for this reason. ;)

I have a feeling that they will end up taking B96 and tweaking it to be a hybrid between its current format and what is on 104. B96 already has a heavy lean on gold, so it would make sense to broaden it a bit further.

A little more detail here:

I guess Sonic is the last remaining local host. He's been with the station since 2018. Perhaps he shifts to B96?

EXCELLENT and long overdue move! :)

The Super Bowl happens February 8 this year.

B96 can finally add more hip-hop gold and tap into its heritage more effectively without worrying about stepping on 104.3's toes.

B96 is a far more recognizable brand than 104.3 Jams. Makes perfect sense to retain B96 and kick Jams to the curb.

104.3 is one of the better FM signals in the market, reaching even the SW tip of Michigan with ease.

Will the WBMX-FM calls be returned to Beantown?
