Does The X answer their phones anymore?

A lot of stations will put their phones on hold so they ring busy when they are either not there or don't want to be bothered. It leaves a better impression that the lines are tied up rather than they ring endlessly.

I remember when we first started voice-tracking nights, one of the last things I had to do before turning off the lights was put all the phone lines on hold. I'm sure that's still the rule.

the prob just on hold for sure because I have been told that even weekend shifts that "sound live" aren't so you just get the busy signal

Yes "sound live". Last I checked it was radio and sounding live is all that matters. There's no camera to monitor!

Radio Babe...Don't know who you are...Don't care really.
But UNLESS you have access to the breakdowns for
each station and the demos of which their stations target
I really don't think your qualified to comment on who is
underperforming and who is not. Long and short for a station
YOU claim is underperforming they sure as hell bill a healthy
amount and sell for some of the highest rates in the ADI.
To my X friends...Keep up the good work!
