Does this rock format even exist on the web????

Hey Guys!

I'm looking for a station I can stream at work and in my car online. I listen to nothing but rock but my rock is pretty wide.

I'm really looking for one station that will mix classic rock, 90's grunge and alternative, modern mainstream and alternative rock together.

Perfect mix would include Pink FLoyd, Muse, Alice in Chains, Disturbed, Boston, Cream, ZZ Top, Silversun Pickups, The Killers, Five Finger Death Punch, Rush, The Doors, Black Sabbath, The Temper Trap, Garbage, The Pixes, Foo Fighters.....

You get the picture. I know there exists some stations that mix modern rock and classic rock but those stations typically stay mainstream and leave out alternative rock.

Any ideas would be helpful and appreciated.

P.S. Closest to this format I have found was actually on FM. Rock 105.5 WROK Macon. They play classic and new rock together but occasionally (like once every four hours) they will sneak in a song that is classified as alternative.

As scanman1 said, Slacker would probably work well in this case or at least be worth a shot. After that I would say try hitting the shoutcast directory if you have not already and see what you can find. Out of 40,000+ stations listed I am sure there is a station that would fit your wants, but it is finding that station that will be the most difficult. If none of them work for you, you could try Jango. I have never found Jango that great, but some people really like it.

Speaking about hard to find rock formats...

Are there internet stations playing a lot of funk rock like the old Living Colour hits, the funky side of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Urban Dance Squad (a Dutch act, but maybe there are people here who know them), and such stuff? I can't find them.

Doesn't matter to me if it's new music or not, as long as it has got the right vibe.

Hey guys,

I run an Internet Rock/Metal radio station. I play pretty much everything across the board and have shows from all over the world, both live and podcast. (If you are familiar with XM/Sirius My station is a cross of Octane, Boneyard and Liquid Metal.)

I also play Underground/Unsigned artists. Have a great following with a lot of bands and their fans. My station is uncensored so I am not sure if you would like it playing out loud at your workplace. I wanted to stay true to the artist by allowing a "Freedom of expression" way of going about it, and I try to stay away from Alternative due to hearing it get overplayed on every radio station across the US.

If you want more information, just message me and I'll give you the rest.
