WRKO Mid-Day Host
WRKO is looking for a midday show host to fill our 9A- noon slot. Candidates should have at least two years experience hosting or co-hosting their own show. The host must have an intimate knowledge of national and global issues in addition to local Massachusetts politics, history and culture. The WRKO midday host will be expected to possess a savvy understanding of the news cycle, including spending a considerable amount of time in the field, establishing connections with community leaders, political principals and other influential and notable people. We're searching for a personality, someone who can establish a relationship with the audience beyond just the exchanging of ideas. Candidates should be extremely opinionated who are unfazed by a back-and-forth of strong ideas and opinions, and someone who is a team player, supportive and respective of fellow staffers.

Please forward your resume and mp3 to:

NO PHONE CALLS PLESAE!

Entercom is an equal opportunity employer.

Nah, I didn't think so either.

Dear Human Resources:

We are the posters of the Boston Radio Board. We are more interesting than the combined gunk that
RKO broadcasts on any given day, except weekends when WRKO really extends below the sewer. In fact,
if radio is hell these days, RKO would fail to reach that bar, the devil not being able to find a ladder to lift
the broadcasting giant up to such lofty heights.

WRKO Mid-Day Host

The question we on the Radio Board ask is, Entercom has no professional anywhere in the country to fill that space? It's not like the previous host is a radio giant?

If you don't hire the collective Boston Radio-Info posting non-team and allow us to scream, yell, bicker and be obnoxious on your airwaves (guaranteed to get you higher ratings than J.D. We really and truly hate each other and have multiple posts to prove it!), may we suggest these out-of-work legends:

1)Oedipus Hyson
He's a pioneer, the original "stuttering John". He makes Margery Eagen look like a professor of Diction.
Oh ask me to apologize to poor Margery later!

2)Mark Parenteau
Oz is a very popular show in re-runs. Guaranteed to get you ink.

3)The Boston Herald Track Gals and Jeff Jacoby
Three plagiarists are better than one

Or you can do as Oedi did (sounds like a Lumber Liquidators commercial) and steal from another station with someone who already has a gig:

4)Alice Cooper
Oedipus used to steal from WFNX, why don't you steal from WZLX

WRKO is looking for a midday show host to fill our 9A- noon slot. Candidates should have at least two years experience hosting or co-hosting their own show. Not including Public Access Television. The host must have an intimate knowledge of the sexual escapades of national and global figures - Cher, Obama, Hillary, Jimmy Swaggart, issues in addition to local Massachusetts politics, history, gossip and culture.

Our ideas. No independent thought will be allowed.

Candidates should be extremely opinionated who are unfazed by a back-and-forth of strong ideas and opinions, and someone who acts like a team player, acts like they are supportive and respective of fellow staffers, even though they are willing to stab them in the back to climb up the corporate ladder. If you're a real jerk, you've found a home at RKO. Just ask the late Jerry Williams if Howie Carr was the Team Player "Respective" of those who helped him get a gig. Ask Maxanne Sartori and Charles Laquidara how much of a team player Oedipus was after they let him in the door.
