Does WVFG even have a license anymore??!!??...

There's some interesting information on the FCC's website concerning WVFG.

Apparently, an application for renewal of their license was denied on January 28, 2005. It's call letters are officially "DWVFG". According to CDBS...

Status: LICENSE CANCELLED

Did he not pay a fine or was he off the air longer then the 1 year rule? Actually, I bet it was both.

I recall when WVFG got burnt down. Our company offered to loan him a 10KW FM transmitter and our phone calls were never returned. I recall the owner of WVFG, Chaz Jones, Jr. is also the owner of a Sears store in Selma or nearby.(a small version)

He owns a Sears store in Demopolis, which is west of Uniontown.

P.S. Concering their License, I am not too sure about that one. Someone with more info may can help us out. Anyway, I am glad to see Mr. Charles back on. Hope he will have continued success with V-107.5.
