"Dog The Bounty Hunter" on hiatus

Yeah, heard it on the news this morning. ::) Good night - is "Dog" the new Britney, Nicole and Paris? Isn't there anything else newsworthy for the stations to report?

Good, we need less of these waste of bandwidth programs.

Oh, you mean he's proof that free speech isn't?

Let me know when the government comes and limits his speech. This is not a free speech issue.

Thank you--at least someone gets that point.

You see those edits, that is not a free speech issue either. I had called you some names and the owner of the board dictated that they were not alllowed. Government = censorship. Private=not censorship. Glad I could clear that up.

I said nothing about censorship.

I heard on CNN yesterday that it was his son that sold "DOG" out to "The Enquirer". Nice son, selling out your own father for a million dollars. Boy I'd love to be a fly on the wall for this years "Chapman Family Thanksgiving."
Actually what the son did is much more of a legal issue. The son recorded the father without his knowlege and then make the tape public. Since there's no more license tests, those who can remember the 3rd endorsed with element 9 can remember..that it is a major FCC violation to record someone without their knowlege and then play it back!

Now that's not exactly what happened here. While anyone can argue about Dog's comments, there are a couple of things here. Dog was plainly angry. I don't know about any of you, but I've said plenty that I regret when I'm angry. Of course it's someone else, and not you, so there's certainly no need for some compassion here. Again, he had a reason to believe that the conversation was between him and his son and no one else. And he had the right to believe that. He was not making public comments. So you can debate what really is in his soul & heart, but the man had the right to expect privacy between him & his son.

A lot of people say nasty things when agitated. Especially when it is supposed to be a private phone call between family members. Let he who is without THAT sin cast the first stone at "Dog". And, in "Dog's" case, he was actually explaining the context of that particular slur on the phone.

What a son! I still can't believe they way he threw his dad under the bus and then fed the carcass to the wolves. "Dog's" comments may have been distasteful, but how the Enquirer got the tape is much more so. I am surprised that no one has focused on this angle of the story. It's far more interesting than the concept of "Dog" using the "n" word in a private phone conversation.

In summary, the whole thing is a sad, sad spectacle. Basically, I've already tuned it out. :-\

This whole thing is weird....Dog and Mrs. Dog were interviewed quite a while back on CNBC's 'The Big Idea' show (before they got hitched) during the time when Tucker (the son from the recording) was in prison (wrong crowd, drugs, I don't know what all) and there was all this I-miss-you on both sides of a phone conversation with Tucker during the interview, and how much Tucker had wised up since he got locked up. Apparently the phone call-in was specially granted by the prison. I heard nothing since, other than the Mexican legal mess. I thought at first the son that recorded was the dude that works with Dog but then they said Tucker was the one, and wow--what a shock. After all those tears and separation.

Gives more meaning to the words 'media circus'.....
