DOGHOUSE

I must say that people need to lighten up. I mean, you take at least 20 minutes to write that anti-Doghouse mocking note.

Whether you like the Doghouse or not, they made an impact. Maybe the ratings dipped towards the end but you can't forget the amounts of listeners they had.

Personally, I loved listening to the Doghouse every morning. If it wasn't your taste then just simply tune out. The fact you Doghouse bashers are taking up so much of your time to ridicule them and give in detail while they stink show the effect they had on you. If they weren't any good, nobody would talk about them period.

Face it, it's been months since they have been off the air, yet a week doesn't go by where they aren't talked about in one way shape or form.

Nope, only about thirty seconds. I know where all the keys are on the keyboard.

By the same 6 screen names, I'd say people, but I'm sure we've got some posting under multiple names.

That took me :14 to think and type.

Re: DOGHOUSE-Liked or Not!

Yes, the Doghouse has great ratings and slipped in the end. Dont you think thats what Infinity thinks about. Its been months since they've been on the air and we all can say, SF radio is dull! Don Bleu, L & T and all the others have nothing to really offer to most listeners these days. Just the same old talk day in and out. Those of you non-radio and radio employed folks need to understand one thing. The Doghouse made millions of dollars for Clear Channel and Infinity wants to capitalize on what they left off. If the people at Infinity feel they can bring those listeners back to their new formated station, by any means they'll do it!
The problem here is, most people want to put their 2 cents in when the discision is neither your's or mine. The big wigs at Infinity make the final yahoo's. If they do get a gig at Infinity and your not keen at listening to them, you have the choice not to. The Doghouse masterminded the whole Dog in you face concept on radio. They clowned on what they could because that's what made the rating's work for them. C.C. enjoyed making the millions and allowed it to happen for so long.
Infinity on the other hand has paid millions of dollars in fines to have Howard on all these years too! Do you hate Howard because he was on the air? Most will say no because he changed the way radio is today. If it wasn't for the Howards and the Doghouses, radio would be even more boring today than it is without us thinking about how the Doghouses and Howard Stern's changed radio for the masses of listeners!

OK Boss, I'll take this one.

Do their former listeners even remember them? Are their former listeners intelligent enough to find them on a different station. Are their listeners intelligent enough to want to listen to a talk radio station. Bottom line, and watch me be wrong this time, but I just don't see Infinity wasting valuable airtime for a bunch of childish has-beens. I seriously doubt they'd want to bring such a childish show to their new format.

Re: radio opera

Build it and they will come, think about it, howard stern, mancow, L&T, the doghouse, they are all grown up men acting like children and people love it!!! Men's fantasy about naked chicks and beer and talking about sports never gets old!!!!

to qoute howard stern's movie Private Parts......"why do they listen???", "To see what he'll say next!!"

Even that hasn't been a draw for Howard lately. His show is a five-hour long commercial for Sirius a lot of the time.

That said, you are conveniently not paying attention to what is said, so I will recap in words of less than four syllables:

1. The Doghouse slipped in the ratings near the end.
2. They burned so many bridges before they were let go, virtually all the station groups in the market see them as a liability.
3. They do not attract the same kind of audience as Howard.

In short, there is no comparison, and there is a good reason why the Doghouse is not on the air. And if they need to know the reason, all they need do is look in the mirror.<P ID="signature">______________

Made. Past tense. You are only as good as your last show, as the saying goes.

Dipped? They tanked. Look at the website and see why. It looks like they take this "Channeling God" thing seriously, making the crash-and-burn pretty understandable.

It's over.
