Don’t lift the broadcast tv caps?

The NAB represents Nexstar, Sinclair, and all the big station owners. That's really all you need to know.
And nearly every small owner, from single station ones to small groups are also members. Like nearly every association, stations join if they perceive that the benefits favor them.

Remember, just as in the state associations, a big major market station has the same vote as a tiny market one.

BTW the same Chris Ruddy who claims Nexstar is a liberal company has also filed an anti-trust lawsuit against Fox News.

Geez we mentioned this in other places Fox Inc has other divisions like Fox Sports and Fox Entertainment. Newsmax is too dependent on even number years like elections as proven before and no proof of antitrust violations. Some of this is that Truth Social has a deal with Newsmax.

Chris Ruddy is scared that his NewsMax will lose the number 2 in conservative rankings if Nexstar & TEGNA merger goes through which I don't believe at all. I think the cap should be 50 to 55% in my opinion. As I said before outside of the O&Os their will only be 3 major TV groups in America.

I get what you mean Gray, Nexstar and Sinclair own the most commercial TV Stations and pushing ATSC 3.0 the most.

Oddly enough the White House put Nexstar owned station KTLA Los Angeles on the list for “Fake News and Biased News”. But KTLA is not on the White House Press Pool. KTLA’s national news content is from The Hill, NewsNation and the AP. Yes I expected the press pool of the national media to be there on that list. But then again we had links here showing how Nexstars NewsNation is biased to the right. When a local TV Station like KTLA is on that list for “Fake News and Biased coverage” from the White House it’s watch out for Chairman Carr to go after them in the same way KABC-TV Los Angeles had to watch out for the FCC over stuff that aired on ABC News, Jimmy Kimmel and The View because Disney’s main office is in Burbank.

Also yes it’s strange for the president to get advice from the CEO of Newsmax and not the FCC over issues like media ownership.
