Don Geronimo Back On KHTK/1140

Within the last half-hour, Don Geronimo Twittered:

!!!Starting Mon June 21st, the DonGeronimoShow, 12-4 (3-7 east) on KHTK/Sacramento. Calls, bits & streaming. CBSradio press release 2 follow

Donnie G. had flown out yesterday to sign the papers. More Tweets from the last few minutes:

Yes, podcasts will be available. Yes, there is an option for syndication. Job Number One: Gettin it done on KHTK. Gonna go from worst to 1st

No doubt what made the KHTK gig move to the top of the list was the incredible support of the people inside the radio station. They believe.

To start, I'll do 3 wks a month from an OC [Ocean City, MD] studio, 1 week a month from Sac-town. Plans are to relocate to Sac eventually. A new home!

I'm amazed at how many of you believe the jokes made about Sac on the old show. Great town, great radio market. I had other options, Sac won

That's about all the news for now. Dinner 2nite with CBSexecs, then Idol. 2morrow, KHTK staff meeting. Then it all really begins. Aloha!

I'm gonna miss Donnie G. spinning the hits on CBS-FM in New York... but I guess he'd rather do this.

It will be interesting to see what happens when his contract with CBS expires in four months.

The WCBS-FM gig was a fill-in/vacation/holiday relief thing only.

He just signed the new contract with CBS on Tuesday; it won't be expiring in four months.
