Don Geronimo: KIIS 1982

Don Geronimo (of Don & Mike fame) was on KIIS-FM for a short time waaaaaay back in 1982. Is there any truth to the rumor that he got fired for missing spots on the log?

Either way, he sounds pretty dang good on this 'check. Enjoy!

As an added bonus, here's Mr. Geronimo on WLS/Chicago later that year...

When Don joined WLS later that year, he got the royal welcome from fellow WLS personalities Steve Dahl and Garry Meier.

That welcome consisted of having Steve & Garry play Don's aircheck on the air and ripping every second of it. Of course, Steve & Garry were never big fans of the "typical" top 40 jock, so Don gave 'em plenty of ammunition.

To this day, I still remember that one of the songs on the demo was "Heat Of The Moment"... and Don's witty intro banter consisted of something like "So I was reading that there were a billion people in Asia... funny, I looked at the album cover... I only counted 4!"

Oh yeah, Steve and Garry had a field day. Absolutely classic radio.
