Steve Bryant, who contributes song parodies to the show, will now be an official part of the program starting June 11. Great news - and it'll make for an even greater show!
 
One person's opinion... Steve's got a great track record in radio.

Would have been nice to tell us the position was basically filled when it was posted on the CBS careers site on May 21.

I wish them well, but I also wish they'd respect others enough to not waste their time by announcing the new addition four days later.
 
Was Steve on the air today?

I believe the show was on vacation last week as Don vacationed in Ocean City.
 
So that explains why he recently tweeted out a photo of Popeil and Flavor Flav...
 
June PPM numbers came out yesterday. It's apparent that KHTK needs something! I've only seen 6+ numbers, but they barely have a 1.0 share. How long does Geronimo have before he's shown the door?
 
Don Geronimo is one of the funniest shows i've heard. Used to listen on WJFK in Washington DC and at the time it was syndicated to KHTK. Although I'm not as familiar with the West Coast..I know The Don & Mike supposidly was #1 in men on both stations in afternoon drive. He should start picking up more stations. I'm still waiting for Don to be back on in DC.
 
@StillInRadio: Kinda weird to see the mostly-syndicated KCTC beating KHTK... but I'm thinking the tables will turn when football and Kings seasons begin. That being said, you can't blame KHTK's somewhat poor performance solely on one show.
 
KHTK may get a bump from the Kings, but football season may favor KCTC with both the 49er's and the big college games. Geronimo's the PD, so he's not only responsible for his show's poor performance, but also the entire station. Comes with the territory...
 
Maybe he can hire back Carmichael Dave? That is, if the syndicated Dan Patrick and Jim Rome just don't cut it. Many of CBS' sports stations are locally staffed during the day.
