Don Imus on Fox Business Channel

Watched (and heard) Imus for the first time since he left MSNBC. The program may be listenable but with the hip hop graphics and constantly moving background, the program is UNWATCHABLE. The constantly inserted Fox Business Minute is the link to the channel theme but it comes across like they are cramming 10 minutes of business matters literally into one minute so a) they don't detract too much from Imus' time and b) they can still market themselves as a business news channel even though Imus' show isn't (it's like here in Houston when KILT-AM went all sports but they still had home improvement on weekends with the tagline "all sports all the time")...

I can't/won't watch it...the presentation/graphics/program mix and flow are for 20 year-olds and the intended audience is much older...there's a mismatch here that's not going to work.

Incidentally, that's the thought most people had when Imus married his current wife...

I don't care. I'm not going to watch the show live on tv. What's important to me is that Fox business put videos from the show on their website. So far they've done an amazing job.

oh and btw, Imus won't save the sinking ship that FBN is.

The worst part of the Imus show is that now it is in hd. You can clearly see that Imus and Warner Wolfe look a thousand years old.

I actually had stopped listening to imus lately .. it had become very bland .. but i tuned in yesterday morning to see the Fox business broadcast and thought that Imus and crew seemed more like the old days - thought the show was funny and quick

Definitely. The Glenn Beck interview was the best interview in a while. Bernard was on the top of his game(yet not given enough airtime). Charles meltdown was a disappointment though. Strained and dubious compared to his classic meltowns.

Charles' rant seemed to me to be very orchestrated. And it's not unheard of for Imus to pull a stunt like that. Otherwise, I thought Monday's show was a little nauseating (because of the moving graphics in the background). They seemed to get the kinks out today -- and the overall aura of the studio was much better.
