Don Latulippe passes on June 25th at age 82

A very nice man and an all around broadcaster who could fill any role at any format. I remember him as the long time ND and Public Affairs Director at 98.5 WROR. I complimented him at a broadcasting function for doing a Public Affairs show for Gays and Lesbians in the late 70's on ROR. This was many years before Gays achieved basic civil rights. Don quickly said "I enjoyed doing that show but I am not gay you know. I am a happily married man."

One of his sons lost his life in the Station Nightclub tragedy. He loved radio so much that up until a few years ago he ran the board on weekends at WROL, WEZE and AM 1150.

I know nothing of his career, but we share a last name. I've been asked by many longtime Bostonians if I'm related to him, and I point out that he did not capitalize the "T," whereas I do.

Fare thee well.

A very nice guy and a great family too. His niece was a very good friend of mine for many years. It was so sad to hear about his son being lost in The Station fire about 10 years ago. I'm sorry to hear about Don's recent passing. RIP.

Worked with Don at WEZE AlbuM 1260. A kind, gracious man and great radio pro. Tragic loss of his son in the Station Night Club Fire. Don was always at The Media Gang functions and care greatly about being an excellent broadcaster. Thank you, Kind Sir, for the consideration you gave to all.

He was a good friend to me when I was at WEZE. I worked the shift after him for years and every week he would bring in two bagels for me. If he had a week off, he's bring 4 bagels so I wouldn't miss out. He was a talker! A dear man, a wise man, a thoughtful man who'd been through a lot but still kept his chin up. He loved animals, especially a little dog named Julia, and he always asked after my cats. "Tell the kitties Uncle Don says hi," he'd say. Condolences to his family and his friend Matthew.
