Don & Mike at Mid-Days-PLEASE!!!

After listening to another great Stern performance, why is DFW subjected to the ever content void mid-day show. Moving the Don & Mike show to mid-days would create an entertaining mid-day respite before Russ.
Pugs and Kelly have changed their format, they no longer spend their show interviewing the latest porno star in town. They now interview every NASCAR driver they can book - YA HOO!!!
Then, they do the news (the same schtick every day) We get to hear way too much about their lives and sexual frustrations/preferences.
Has Gavin sealed his fate or can he make a move and still keep his job?
When Stern leaves, he will have to, and then it will be too late.

Word has it Gavin signed them for 2 years. Switch Pugs and Kelly to overnights and Don & Mike to mid-days. I think it will work and get 105.3 noticed.

Chapman can't hog the headlines forever. At least until he announces his Sirius radio deal. I never new Uncle Mel had a soft spot for him, I always thought Uncle Mel's favorite was Howard Stern, The King of All Media.

Here, here. P&K lost me long ago with their tripe. Who cares. It was the same with Liz Wilde and her crew.
 
P&K, how could Infinut justify their paychecks? Even 50 cents an hour is too much. Don and Mike? From dumb and destitute to withered and dead,they would be the worst to replace P&K.

Fart jokes are funny, too bad some shows don't know how to use the content they have to work with. As a listener, when I'm stuck in trafic I want to laugh my ass off. Not hear about Nascar from P&K, or listen to the "ring the bell-morning ZOO-phlegmy radio voice guys" crap from don & mike.

I hate to spoil many of ya'll's love affair with Howard Stern and Russ Martin and the likes on this board but I was appalled at the comment above which implied that we would like to see more interviews with porn stars on Dallas radio? I've read more complaints on this board about 'conservative radio' than I have about the kind of smut radio this person is apparantly advocating. When I read this I only wonder if this writer has any daughters or sisters or women in his life that he respects enough to not want to see women debased by desperate radio hosts by parading porn stars into the studio to glamourize a profession that few hold in respect even if it does satisfy some base desire they can't quite kick. Please remember that whether we like it or not, not only adults are listening to the likes of Stern and Russ Martin and Puggs and Kelly. Included also among their listeners are teenagers and perhaps some even younger who are getting the message that porn is an exciting industry and one that gets you noticed by not only slimy pervs but also by seemingly respectable radio hosts and executives. I'm writing this as a father with a very young daugther who is a bit concerned by the love affair that many in this culture have developed with topics and things that decades ago would have been taboo and for very good reason. And I haven't even mentioned God once, in this letter. Oops, now I have.

Back to the situation at hand, P&K stink. What needs to happen is they need to be moved back to overnights or, better yet, leave the market. Use that airshift for something decent. D&M are ok, but id rather have some homegrown talent take over in the afternoons, give me something more than a 5 1/2 hour commercial, what P&K became when they moved middays.
 
Are you auditioning for your own talk show? You got the right wing slant down pretty good. BTW I am not defending P&K

Actually, I doubt that he does.

This stuff is "juvenile" humor that has spread to radio like a virus.

It is gutter broadcasting.

But partially, and sadly, it is a reflection of society today.

Do you think that executives care what radio personalities say these days as long as the bucks roll in?

Again, no.

Prime example: Stern and Mel K.

I have given up on listening to the radio during mid-days. When Stern goes off the air, I change and listen to other radio websites that broadcast Dr. Laura during mid-days. She is a lot better and keeps me awake during the day than Pugs and Kelly will.

Just a casual observation on this animal; he's for government
'control' ostensibly via 'speech codes' through a resurrection of
The Fairness Doctrine' in contradiction to what the public
wants even though what the pubic wants isn't porn, but is
demogogically labelled right wing talk-radio by a what
would seem to be a 'fair and unbiased observer' since he named
himself after a famous journalist (ostensibly a 'recorder
and reporter of events and facts as opposed to opinion and
editorials) EdRMorrow.

Any 'talk' about concern over on-air 'porn' and he immediately
responds with the "R" word - is it just me or is this typical
of all libru... -er- progressives today ERM?
