Donald Trump buys Monday Night Raw from WWE

lol...Vince McMahon...who packed 93,000 fans into the Pontiac Silverdome for one of his extravaganzas....teams with The Trumpster, to grab the media's attention. He does know what hes doing.

Which gives you a really...really...really good indication of just whom "the media' is hiring these days....clueless...brainless....

including the talk show host in Tampa who had nine Arbitron diaries in her house...nine....and was at least suspended for filling them out, vaulting one of the longest lowest rated and worst radio stations...owned by CBS, no less...to a 1.0 ....

I was no superstar, but Good Lord, what the heck is "the media" coming to?

These two (Vince and Donald) had a storyline pitting them against each other as recently as the buildup to WWE WrestleMania XXIV in winter/spring 2008, with one supporting wrestler "A" and one supporting wrestler "B". This makes absolutely no sense. ::)

I feel very sorry for you people who are living in this fantasy WWE world.

Aw c'mon give 'em a break. It's like Christmas, everyone knows there's no Santa Claus but it's a whole lot more fun if you believe.

WWE stock took a small hit with the "announcement" of the "sale" of Monday Night Raw to Donald Trump. A release stating that it's a storyline was hurriedly put out. Looks like someone at Titan Tower didn't think this thing through. ???

As the above link implies, I won't be surprised if the SEC issues fines over this. The sale being a storyline is one thing, but if it was set up to a point where it actually affected WWE's stocks -- for real -- then it becomes serious business.

Wow, people are even more dense than I gave them credit for if anyone believed any of this obviously phony nonsense. I'd be more inclined to beliece "24" is a documentary.

Dixie Carter must be loving this (no, not the actress from "Designing Women", but the head honcho of TNA Wrestling)!

And I don't care if it's a storyline or not, but I haven't watched a single minute of WWE on television (though the shows get posted on YouTube -- and in HD -- the next day or so) for about a couple weeks now. No wonder why TNA and Lucha Libre are the only wrestling I watch!

Makes me wish ROH would move from HDNet to a more mainstream channel like Versus.

To quote Larry Rivera: "Lucha libre is pro wrestling...PERIOD!"

Are you referring to CMLL? AAA? WWC? IWA?

AAA on Galavision; until a few years ago they also aired CMLL.

But TLC executives are hoping and praying that this "huge announcement" on Monday's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" will drive viewers away from the commercial-free "Raw"; the season premiere a few weeks ago smoked them (and the NBA playoffs) in the ratings!

It's not unbelievable that many WWE investors don't watch (or care to watch) WWE programming. In the same vein, it's doubtful that most individual shareholders of in News Corp, Time Warner, or NBC Universal have went out of their way to watch every entertainment production they make--on TV, in theaters, or whatever.

I, too, watch AAA.

Have you seen matches from Triplemania XVII yet? Some are available on YouTube. The match between El Mesias and Dr. Wagner Jr. was, as Wagner would say...BIEN! BIEN! BIEN!

;D

...CMLL is now on LATV by arrangement with Fox Sports Net...
