Done deal in Houston

New York Broadband LLC proposed to acquire KQHO-LD Houston in a deal filed with the FCC 8/5/13. According to brokerage Kalil and Co., the deal has arrived at the finish line. It'll be interesting to see if LMO, HCCN, or HFCN (all closely-related companies with the same owner, I think) does the same with any of their properties in DFW. They have four licenses, all currently silent. Three are on VHF-Lo (channels 2, 4, and 5) and so probably won't interest a company like NY Broadband, but KQFW is on UHF channel 24. (KQHO's license is for channel 20.) I'll keep a close eye on KQFW to see if anything develops.
 
The company already owns KVFW-LD in Dallas, and doesn't seem to have interest in owning more than one signal in most markets.

To clarify, you're saying NY Broadband owns KVFW, right? I wondered what ever became of that station.

Do you know if they're broadcasting their experimental Chinese M/H signal on it? (I know there hasn't been an ATSC signal on RF 38 for years.)
