DONNA J. ROSE, 49, of Ocean Grove, formerly of Toms River, a well-known area radio personality, airing locally on The Breeze, WJRZ and WJLK, died Tuesday Nov. 15, at her home.
Donna was born in Lakewood, and lived mostly in Toms River, but also in Palm Springs CA and Stuart FL, before moving to Ocean Grove in 2000.
Donna received her bachelor of arts degree from Stockton State College.
It was during that time she began to work as newscaster with a medium-market New Jersey radio station.

Many will recall her as the co-host and co-producer of Up with Downs and Rose that debuted in 2001 on all Bear affiliated radio stations on the East Coast.
She was successful as well in the fine arts, selling her work to many companies including Walt Disney World.
Donna loved life, family, friends, her profession and her dog, Onyx.
She was predeceased by her father, Donald Rose, in 1997; and her godparents, Admiral and Jean Rosendahl.
Surviving are her mother, Dorothy Roberts Rose; her family, Dr. Charles and Ruth Helmetag of Rosemont PA; and her brothers, Donald J. Furcillo of Myrtle Beach SC and John J. Nicholson of Beverly Hills CA.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Sunday at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River.

49 is waaay too young to make an exit from life...especially for one so talented. I didn't know her personally, but, I knew her work. She was, indeed, a talent.

Condolences to her family and friends on the loss of their daughter and friend. She will be missed.

Donna Rose worked for me for a short time at WPMR in Mount Pocono. What a wonderful, talented and classy person she was.

I'll never forget her.
