CBS Top 40/Rhythmic WPGC/WASHINGTON is celebrating “30 YEARS OF DONNIE SIMPSON” FRIDAY AUGUST 24th at The WARNER THEATER in WASHINGTON.
 
Donnie was smooth. I used to air his countdown, back in the early 90's, when I was in Northeast Texas. I'm surprised he's still doing mornings at PGC. I would think he would have transitioned to Urban AC radio. If he can still relate to the newer music, good for him. I could not. But, congrats to Donnie on a great career.

He was smooth... very professional. On 'PGC, he can pretty much play what he wants.. EWF, Elton John, etc. He has it like that.

I concur. Can't really see him on a current based Urban station. He was the man back in the day.
