Donnie Simpson maybe out of D.C.

This will lead to the end of WPGC in general as we know it. The old Donnie Simpson Morning Show along with the better music choices that wasn't so hits-oriented is what kept 95.5 at the top of ratings, see what WVEE Atlanta, but will likely cause the station to fail.

Why do you think V-103 here in Atlanta is still at the top of the ratings???

1) A full-coverage signal that covers the majority of the Atlanta radio market
2) Very strategic dayparting of the playlist to capture key demographics
3) An all-local line-up with strong personalities on from morning to midnight on weekdays.
4) Targeting females, who are more loyal radio listeners than males

Regardless of how you personally feel about R&B, most females love R&B, and the top urban program directors in most markets know that if you don't try to give it the adequate spins you will always be #2 to an Urban AC. Hence why so many UACs are the top urban stations in the PPM environment rather than Mainstream Urbans. WVEE is playing both sides of the fence being the last of the major market Urban Contemporaries and wins against a Mainstream Urban and 2 Urban ACs. KMEL does the same thing in San Francisco.

Let the Flip rumors re-ignite

I'd be shocked if CBS flips from Urban. Honestly, I think Big Tigger would handle mornings since he's the 2nd big talent they have. Does anybody know how they are doing 18-34?

WPGC is doing alright with the 18-34, but the Donnie Simpson show is the one that is most contentious because the CBS suits wants the timeslot to be exclusively 18-34. Simpson on the other hand, wants the show to be 18-49 hence the predicament of Simpson's presumed exit. The reason why WPGC was so highly rated was because of its vast pull of everybody. However, these days it seems everybody wants to chase the 18-34 all day which doesn't help you in the long run.

Rumors has it that this friday is Donnie Simpson last day on WPGC .
