don't hate me, BUT *

i Hate to admit it, for whatever reason...
but i LOVE Crazy Frog/Axel F!! !!
-in my area, wild101/ former hipHop nation station,
started to play that..and DHT/dancemix,(among other
artists,alternative,rock,mainstream pop) and..

well, I totally LOVE that Crazy Frog/Axel F!! song...
why ?

it's an awesome beat..with a familiar melody, that kicks azz !!

this board, will certainly disagree and say that
is what is wrong with the dance-scene today,
-
A song with no words, and is "all over the place" with
annoying samples,
but
that song ::: i am feelin it !!
-it's a song..virtually without words, (not 'steadybeat trance)..
but, for starters, a song that 'shouldnt get airplay' -just
because of the way it is structured and organized...unless,
it's the bumper music for a chr station, or the novelity of
a morning show..BUT, it is gettin played!! and, it's catching on!!
-
it works.
maybe this is 'the' new sound of dance radio?

it has worked before..hits/"party-Songs" that are primarly without lyrics-
that for some reason..when played, say at a halloween party/grad.party,
or selectively used in a movie, gets people.."feeelin it!"
*
Or, if any one of these songs..is played at a sporting event:
it will get a charge out of the peeps in the seats !!

"zombie nation" kernkraft 400.
atb "9pm" radio edit
brainbug "nightmare" ( as used in "A Night..roxbury" )
"traffic" tiesto.
"sandstorm" daRude.
"derg"(?)Derb - song with the same name..

-groove jet Killer..or what ever that song is...

-that song: "roughride" / the 'bridge' of that song, is
basically, the cross-fader being possessed !!

-rank one "airwave"

-xL "Fluxland"
--etc, etc...

now, i am not saying..i hope the next generation of music,
is 4 notes repeated at 150 bpm, but it's like..."diet trance"
there is a place for it, embrace it...remarkably, the 'national'
audience..is starting to be accepting of it - which is rare anyway,
why not..praise the song, instead of using the tired old mentality,
of once it "HITS" it is no longer "your music"...

hmm ?

...lol / the point of this post was to praise the song:

Crazy Frog/Axel F !! !!!

that song, is %100 garbage. I dont hate you for liking it, but I agree that it should NEVER be played on the radio.

I knoq what you mean. It isnt that bad, once you get used to it. HEY, If its a dance hit, actually getting airplay, its doing more than what most Dance songs do.

> this board, will certainly disagree and say that

I don't think anyone is going to say anything about the dance scene. The point is that song sounds like a kid with a sampler and a keyboard.

Sam Buca Method Of Making A Dance Hit(tm):

1) Pick a familiar 80s hook and repeat it over and over
2) ???
3) Profit!!

A remix of Axel F wouldn't be bad...a jackass going "blabklahblablablabhabl" through the whole song is bad.
______________

That pretty much sums it up for me

Try telling that to KNGY, KNRJ, WKTU, KNHC, WDVW, WCDV, Music Choice/Dance, Sirius 66/The Beat and XM81/BPM: Crazy Frog's "Axel F" just debuted on Billboard Radio Monitor's Dance radio chart at #24 with 108 spins thanks in part to these stations.

BTW I don't mind the novelty of this track. But then again look at the other humorous and memorable tracks that graced our global Dancefloors and airwaves, and have already left a footprint in music history:

Las Ketchup, "The Ketchup Song"
Jordy, "Dur Dur D'etre Bebe(It's Tough To Be A Baby)"
Los Del Rio, "Macarena"
Rednex, "Cotton Eyed Joe"
Scatman John, "Scatman"
RuPaul, "Supermodel(You Better Work!)"
Reynolds Girls, "I Rather Jack"
Drunkenmunkey, "E"
Channing, "Bootsy Bootsy Boom"
Paul Lekakis, "Boom Boom Boom(Let's Go Back To My Room)"
Timelords, "Doctorin' The TARDIS"
Doop, "Doop"
Green Velvet, "La La Land"
Pet Shop Boys Featuring Joanna Lumley & Jennifer Saunders, "Absolutely Fabulous"
Smart E's, "Sesame's Treet"

> Try telling that to KNGY, KNRJ, WKTU, KNHC, Music
> Choice/Dance, Sirius 66/The Beat and XM81/BPM:

Sorry Robert, I'm not going to tell them anything. I just personally detest the song, but if they wish to play it's their prerogative. It has after all topped many of Europe's Pop charts.

Almost all of the songs listed below are some of the crappiest Dance records to top Pop charts, IMO. Paul Lekakis, Timelords (AKA the guys behind KLF) and Green Velvet being the exceptions.

I expect this song to do for dance radio what the XFL did for football. Who in the hell is gonna take this seriously? Come on, this is just a plain novelty song. It has dance appeal, it has pop appeal. Personally, I'd file it under "comedy" or "children's music." The average joe out there on the street that hears this will probably think, "Oh that nutty new techno song again! Dance music nowadays sure is weird!" BARF. It's looking like it'll be unavoidable for this song to have its 10 seconds of fame, but I sure hope it dies off as quickly as it came.

Crazy Frog/Axel F, The UK is alot more open minded when it comes to tracks like this, A few weeks ago it was the #1 song on the TOP OF THE POPS top 40.

Here is a real reason why it sucks:

BECAUSE ITS ANOTHER CHEESED OUT PIECE OF GARBAGE SONG that everyone laughs at in the mainstream music world. They like the song because it is stupid. Kind of like a Weird Al Yankovic song or a William Hung song.

The song is beeping awful bro, and anyone that likes this song that supports this dance format needs to get some type of treatment and stop posting on this board. Im pretty open minded about music but this song sucks. Its another "Wow, techno music sucks/Hip-Hop Music Rules"-type song.

You have producers out their busting their asses, making quality songs... and the mainstream world doesnt give the quality songs the time of day.. then this piece of (BLEEP) song comes along and gets airplay. Its getting airplay because its a joke of a song. Its making fun of the Jamster commercials.

The only time you will see this video aired on MTV.. is in a Jamster ringtone commercial.
______________

Actually I have all those songs. They may be cheesy, but you can't help listening to them a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if they end being sampled Eric Prydz/Junior Jack style in the near future.

Re: *NEW POST*

-I disagree...
The Grid/Swamp Thing..
(from what i remember) had the same 'style' but didnt
get laughed at; it wasnt a 'hit' however, it is a
respected song..with similiar beats/patterns of music to it..

it isnt exactly rippin up the charts, and clogging the
radio-waves..but it is getttin recongition!! for a
song..that remixed axeL-F!! why is that soo hard to digest..
that is a legit. song!! ?

outside looking in:
the very NEXT Tim McGraw single..is gonna be about
a pick up truck, or..cow tipping..but, if you are a
fan of the genre, you know there is more to the music...

*Now, if u are too close to the sound, u will know
too much of the artists/story's..etc, but - average
listeners..will *ALWAYS* think Dj-Sammy/DHT is
"TECHNO" and..country music, is 'always' about..
"pickup trucks.." -just as, rap, is ~always~ gang-related..
etc, etc..

soo for your argument to be ::: "there is a 'techno' song.."
that is the mass-definition..for "C&C music factory" ..

in other words, gimme a better reason, why YOU Personally
dont like it - not what the population of North America thinks...

thnx.
