Don't you hate it when...

You want to watch the news or whatever, but some sporting event goes into overtime like the Blues/Wild game did today? but i guess the contracts say that you have to show the sports event till conclusion.

Do you only have one TV station in your town? Nobody else does news?

My mom sometimes gets mad if the NBA runs late into the news on WLOS/13, but she never bothers to check WYFF/4, because the NHL may also be going to overtime too.

...On Demand won't let you fast forward thru commercials. I understand WHY they do it, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. It forces me to think, and set the DVR for everything.

Sporting events running past its allotted time, especially when the time period proceeds into the news, is nothing new and nothing's gonna change that unless the networks decide they're no longer want to be in the sportscasting business.

I know certain people are set in their ways as far as a particular stations they watch for news...I get it, locally there are certain stations I avoid (well, namely one, KTTV--a victim of Fox's bastardization of their local newsrooms), but I'm not getting bent out of shape if a sporting event runs past the allotted time. If I want to watch the news that badly, I'll find another station.

Just watch another channel that has the local news not that hard. I don't care it happens it isn't going to change plus you don't want to have another Heidi game there would be complaints about that.
