I keep hearing from engineers--- both HD and satellite radio could be doomed ----due to serious signal/reception problems. OR--- Sirius could merge with XM. OR----Sirius and XM could be bought out by other companies. any comments? I think HD appears to be in more trouble than satellite at this point. I'm writing on the NYC board as I've heard HD here and it does have serious signal/reception problems.

Good......I hope all this IBOC crap falls down so we can get our analog freq's back!!!

As far as XM&Sirius,i have heard they might merge......I HOPE XM DOMINATES IF THEY DO (They are better than sirius)

There's been a lot of articles on satellite frequencies and sunflares emitting similar radiation. So far it hasn't been a problem.

I've heard HD has signal/reception problems AND satellite has $$$ problems! (both are having problems selling receivers --- but the verdict is still out.)

I have sirus, good music (usually), crappy quality though sounds like a 20k internet stream at times. with the signal strenth, going to college in vt, the signal will krap out a lot. down here i find myself listening to fm or cd instead of Sirius. and up in vt cd's or cassete tapes or maybe a local fm occasinally. I guess I could say I waisted money on buying satellite... oh well...
