Just looked at their site. Looks like Boy Toy Jesse from Cali is taking over.

yeah, it's weird. I hear it's some idiot new approach they're calling "top 40 radio" where they play the most popular songs across multiple formats. I'm with you that it's insane and it will likely never catch on.
for instance. movin's top played songs this week include the following:
1) Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger (KPLZ sounding stuff category)
2) Gym Class Heroes - Stereo Hearts (hard core KUBE-esque hip hop category)
3) Adele - Someone Like You (Adult Modern Rock/KPLZ sounding stuff category)
4) Flo Rida - Good Feeling (hard core KUBE-esque hip hop category)
5) T-Pain - 5 O'Clock (hard core KUBE-esque hip hop category)
6) Katy Perry - The One That Got Away (KPLZ sounding stuff category)
7) LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem (hard core KUBE-esque hip hop category)
8) David Guetta and Usher - Without You (hard core KUBE-esque hip hop category)
9) Rihanna - We Found Love (hard core KUBE-esque hip hop category)
10) Jason Derulo - It Girl (hard core KUBE-esque hip hop category)
So what if 8 of those songs are in the iTunes top 10 downloads?! This format is bogus. oh and vivalamusica, I also agree with the other 2 points you've made in your 3 years of posting on this board...movin sucks (including maynard and any morning show they currently have), and Nick Reynolds and Robin and Maynard are radio gods.
P.S. check your spelling on vacillates
I thought Harrison Wood is still there? The page now says "weekends". And if Tony B is gone, why haven't they removed his page? Also, whatever happened to Kat?radiobootie said:Harrison Wood from KUBE got let go Friday and so did Tony B. Who's next at CC Seattle?
Agreed. Kiss has started to suck more and more. I honestly thought CC's Seattle properties wouldn't be touched as much, unlike Portland, but I'm wrong. And, remove KUBE's live and local Public Affairs program and fire a great guy in the community? C'mon now!ZPD22 said:This is extremely dissappointing to say the least...there was a time when I actually had hope in KUBE and KISS. They were CC stations that were COMPLETELY live and local, and it seemed as if everywhere else, CC was just voicetracking everybody. Now, it seems that there doing pretty much what they did in Portland with KXJM. Very dissapointing. KISS was ruined when CC took them over, the station was great when it was owned by cbs, such a shame. And for KUBE, i mean come on. When do they ever have mixshows anymore? CC sucks and thats just the bottom line, I say everyone should just start listening to movin, there doing it the right way, live and local and they don't play the same stuff over and over.

The next question that needs to be asked is if Bain Capital is trying to slim everything down for a possible sale.
They're letting LOTS of good people go, sure hope the Mays brothers are happy with what Bain is doing to the company their father founded.
Enjoy all that Bain money while any modicum of respect anyone in the industry had for you vanishes!
