Dori Monson dies

WOW...this is shocking and very sad. I enjoyed some of his viewpoints and interviews, even being on the other side of the Cascades. 61...way too young, may he RIP, and condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues at KIRO 97.3. :(

This is utterly devastating news. I grew up listening to Dori on the radio, and have listened pretty much every day my entire life, even in recent years. I even had the privilege to meet him once, and he was an extremely nice guy to talk to. Seattle talk radio certainly will not be the same. Regardless of whether or not you agree with his viewpoints, he was extremely talented and had one of the most interesting shows in the market.

Shocked and saddened. I used to listen to him when my mom was staying with me. He'd be on the radio when I left for work. I was surprised to hear that he died, being that he was into sports and athletics.

There will probably be tons of tributes tomorrow on KIRO's talk shows. I wonder who will now take over that 12-3 timeslot that he held for so many years.

Very sad. Enjoyed him from time to time both on KIRO-FM and in past years on the Seahawks pre-game show. Heritage and talented radio host. Thoughts are with his family and friends. He will be missed.

Sad news, indeed. As for his Noon-3 p.m. show, if KIRO-FM chooses to keep that slot conservative, there is Jason Rantz (currently on sister station KTTH) or Brandi Kruse or maybe both ("The Jason and Brandi Show"?).

Wow. I was thinking Brandi Kruse for sure, but the thought of Jason & Brandi sounds very appealing!
