Dori Monson Extends Contract
with News Talk 710 KIRO

October 8th, 2007
(Press Release)

SEATTLE, WA – On air talk show host, Dori Monson, has extended his contract with News Talk 710 KIRO to continue as host of “The Dori Monson Show,” weekdays 12noon – 3pm.

“Dori is key to the continued and future success of News Talk 710 KIRO,” said Rod Arquette, 710 KIRO/770 KTTH Program Director. “He is one of the hardest working talk show hosts in the industry and his commitment to doing a great show every day really engages his listeners. It’s great to have Dori part of the team.”

"Frankly, I'm shocked that management hasn't gotten tired of me by now,” said Monson. “But this was a very easy decision for me. I have fantastic listeners on one of the country's truly great radio stations. I'm looking forward to many more years on News Talk 710 KIRO!"

Dori Monson tackles the news like a Seahawks linebacker sacking an opposing quarterback. From news to politics to pop culture and beyond, Dori creates a talk show that no other host can replicate. One hour he's talking to Puget Sound's most significant news makers and the next hour his listeners are calling in on the subtleties of Las Vegas or a local "clothing optional beach." On the air, Dori approaches social issues with a hands-off attitude, much the same way he treats any type of vegetable at the dinner table. He has a nose for fiscal government accountability and an affinity for cheesy pop music songs. He treasures a smaller, more-efficient government the way he treasures a classic Tony DeFranco and the DeFranco Family song. Dori's show is the T-bone steak of talk-radio: it's sizzling, it's juicy and it's always cooked just right.
