Dorothy McGuire, McGuire Sisters, "Sincerely", Dies at 84

I was a little tyke when the music of the McGuire Sisters was on the radio. But, I remember the songs, because my dad loved them. My favorites are SUGARTIME #1 -- FOUR WEEKS! (Billboard charted 23 weeks from 12/30/57); SINCERELY #1 -- TEN WEEKS! (on the Billboard chart 21 weeks from 1/08/55); & MAY YOU ALWAYS #11 (Billboard charted for 16 weeks). They had other songs like HE, SOMETHINGS GOTTA GIVE, JUST FOR OLD TIME'S SAKE and still more that didn't make the top of the charts. Good Stuff!

Dorothy was stunningly beautiful even in her '70s. The McGuire Sisters' sound never lost it's charm, with their timing and crisp harmonies, even as late as 2004. In their day, you simply had to be good to get booked. And they were.
