Just saw a certain country stations TV spot. Let me just say "uuuuuuuuuuuugh".

Good GAWD.......what has this market turned in to..........Hee Haw Central?

I hope out of town folks don't see it. I don't think there was even a message included.
Just obnoxious singing and silliness like I hear every morning.

105.3 is loading the boat with disenfranchised listeners every day.
 
Word of mouth is everywhere among civilized listeners. The legends finally have a chance to be
heard without a ton of useless yaking about useless stuff. Can they (TVY) survive on talent alone?
I doubt it.

Granted, a good buzz about the station on the street can be a good indicator.
Can't wait until January. Should be one of the more interesting ARB books.
 
I can not believe that Magic has hired a Sales Manager for the Dothan Market that does not even have a decent background in Broadcast sales. The new sales Manager used to work for WKMX years ago as a Jock that worked from 7-Midnite then he was let go by Miller and Duffy .....Fast forward to now he got hired as a sales person and three days later he took the position as Sales Manager for the Dothan Cluster how can this guy possibly know all there is about Broadcast Sales ? Normally when you get in a position of this caliber you have been around in the business for a very long time . It just doesn't makes sense other than the fact of Money , I guess if you don't have the money to hire a fully qualified individual then you have no choice but to hire someone who lacks experience.I guess those Dollar A Holler spots really works for the station huh? And no I'm not mad either because I didn't get it ,I'm not even qualified to even think about it .
I wonder how many EEO rules Magic broke by not advertising this postion properly?

Why not? Applied in reverse, It worked for the TVY morning show.

Amy from sales to morning show = #1 ratings

Ex KMX jock to Sales Manager = market top biller....maybe

Remember...no matter where you go....there you are :D
