Did Dothan drop off the map? For weeks there was a constant thread concerning the market,the statins, and the various owners and all of a sudden it just stopped. Has everything gone back to normal and did all the arm chair quarterbacks get the market fixed? Let's all try to have a great day.

I am no longer in the market since Magic canned me.
But I do stay in touch with what's going on.
My good friend Bud Ford is now doing afternoons @ TVY
I wish him luck. I did all I could to try and help that cluster
but they were not willing to accept my professional guidance.
I hope there is some longevity to Bud's job as I have heard
that Magic is about to liquidate the Dothan properties individually.
I also heard a deal with Terry Duffie for the purchase of KMX is eminent.

Interesting. A post on the Florida board mentions a rumor
that Don McCoy is buying the Magic PC cluster.
I think he already is a shareholder.
Also rumored is Mr. Durden is having health problems.

Do you mind sharing what professional guidance of yours that they were not willing to accept and how that has hurt them. Also, boy I hope you're right about Mr. Duffie. That would be a win/win! A true radio guy.

Is it significant that ex-kmx longtime staffer Stevie Lange was in town from Iowa a few weeks ago?

Could TD be re-assembling a staff for the new/like old KMX?

Is stewy's silence on this a give-away that something IS up?

Radio is a tough business. Anyone who thinks they have the magical answers (no reference to magic intended)
obviously aren't in radio right now.

It's very challenging and a completely different beast than it was even 5 years ago.

I will say I'm enjoying the challenge. It's never boring!

I started to reply with :-X only and let it go so I can enjoy the wrangling but not this weekend, it just doesn't fit. So, I'll answer best as I can zuzu;

Yes she was but it was because it was spring break in Iowa and they have some family members here that are not doing well and wanted to visit. I'll not go further into this because this is/was a private family matter.

No, TD's not assembling anything. You make it sound like if he wanted to do so it would be a difficult and time consuming task ...... I hope you know better. Does he want to be in radio? Only he can answer but I heard him on the air live last week, didn't you?

As for my silence, if you care to check the archives, starting with the Christmas season (? I think) of 2008, I began getting more and more quiet using the "court house steps" reference (glad Spring is here, the concrete is warming) until folks said it was old and they were tired of it so I quieted further. A trend that I will continue.

You folks think and guess what you want, you will anyway so I'll ask only one thing of you when you do. Please do it in an entertaining way so that mkt 190 can, through these boards, share some creativity with the rest of the Country.

With that, I'll sign off for the long Easter Weekend and wish that each of you enjoys family and friends with as much love as possible which is/was the intent of the Sacrifice which occurred on Good Friday and the Resurrection on Sunday.

I see where a license to cover has been filed for the 100.1 translator that WOOF bought from WEEL. Has anyone checked it out? I think it's supposed to be carrying WOOF-AM. Looks to have a decent coverage area with 250 watts.

Interesting. FCC database does not reflect an application for this yet.

It does show two CP's filed for WILN & WVVE accepted today's date.

BTW this is to renew two 3 year CP's they let expire.
