Doug Banks goes syndicated, again

It looks like AURN has picked up The Doug Banks Show with DeDe and comedian Rudy Rush. The show currently airs out of Chicago on V103 from 2pm-6pm. Last time we heard Doug nationwide was with Citadel syndicated to Urban AC stations. Now who's going to give him yet a 3rd try?

AURN? Wow I thought that he was in a joint venture, half owner of his show thru URBan Radio Broadcasting company. Well ABC/Citadel gave up on him too quick, he had alot of contracts and I think the stations woulda been really scrambling to find a replacement. Hey radio stations, how bout local????

But anyways good for him, I think he's been gettin stuck by corporates for years. Joyner has been stable for years. They really stick it to Doug, that's unfortunate.

The difference is Tom Joyner has his own production company, Reach Media, which is now partially owned by Radio One, thus the security. Maybe if Doug Banks would have done the same or did like ole Donnie Simpson did with CBS & WPGC and just rode train until the wheels feel off with WGCI, then he would had better luck.

thank you for that information @Shawtyblack_ATL. You from Atlanta, Ga? There's a radio host "John Fricke" from Fox Sports Radio, he broadcast live from Atlanta, Ga and California, but mostly from Atlanta. He's mostly on weekend nights, and various fill in times. Listen when you get a moment. Look up on google (Fox Sports Radio) FSR-PR.CLEARCHANNEL.COM look for the one that gives that website. Once you enter that website, on the top right you will see "Listen Live". Hope you enjoy
I can't wait to listen to Doug Banks again. DeDe is so amazingly beautiful

I think most stations that had Doug Banks in afternoons went local after being dropped by Citadel. Michael Baisden is the only other syndicated afternoon show for Urban AC and more than likely the competition already had him in most markets.

Im from Charleston,SC but been in ATL since 1996 so im officially an ATLien. I will check out the show btw.

if that site doesn't work, you can check out their affilates, one have them on from Wilmington, De. Try 1290am The Ticket. According to their website Premrad.com (Sports) (Fox Sports Radio) (Schedules) It states he will be on next weekend August 14 Saturday night 11pm, and Sunday night 8pm. Despite some of their return music after a commercial, despite some of that music, his show content is Excelent. The way he talk, it make you want to listen more and more and more. Listen for yourself when you have a free time

their show is very well produced. I listened to them a few times recently when they were with Citadel Radio Networks, I enjoyed them very much. I'm glad he's back.
Earlier you all asked who would give him a third chance if he lose this one? I have three guses. One is Premiere Radio Network" Premrad.com, my second guess would be ??? I think this one could be a tie, but I'm leaning more on "Superadio Network" Superadio.com, and my third guess would be "Westwood One Radio Network" Westwoodone.com
Let's not think about the bad.
I hope he stick around for a long time.

I flipped on Dougs show the other day and his mic quality was garbage! It didn't even sound like him. I hope they get that fixed, I thought that V103 dropped him until i heard Rudy and DeDe a few seconds later. =/
