Doug Hoerth on internet radio

There was a blurb on another forum yesterday that said that Doug Hoerth was returning "for one night only" sometime in May on some sort of internet radio. Does anyone know any more about this?

I don't know what Doug is up to these days but he's got to be touched at the support from his listeners.

I worked with Doug in the very beginning and at the time he had a real passion for radio. Even then you could see he was going to do some entertaining radio. Yes, the ego was there but that's what motivates many to sit behind the microphone. Doug has been at it a long time and that's not easy in this business. He has my respect for that alone.

Back in 2003, I think it was, I made a point to listen to WPTT as I traveled through Pittsburgh each way. I was able to hear Lynn Cullen and Doug for a little while. I remember thinking, wish I had a station like this where I live.

You can get the info on http://pgholdies.com From what I heard, The station will be live over the Memorial Day weekend starting at 9am EST 5/25 going on thru Monday 5/26. I'm hearing that there is a possibility the station may go live over the whole weekend possibly at Midnight -6 EST Saturday with a former WSHH Jock doing that shift.

Uncle Douggie's Internet Broadcast should be interesting to hear. I kind of feel bad that he got canned at WPTT, even though his show wasn't as appealing in recent years. I wonder how he has been supporting himself without being behind the microphone since December.

He mentioned several times that he's been doing some writing -- speechwriting for political and corporate accounts. He's also involved in a mobile DJ business. I believe he's 62, so perhaps he's ready to collect retirement benefits, too.
