It was Feb 3rd, 2011, a "Remembering Doug Hoerth" was held at the Holiday Inn on McKnight. About 250 people attended (Standing Room Only) including fans, friends and dignitaries, many telling personal stories or antidotes about Doug and his antics. Ironic, isn't it that this was the "Day The Music Died" I can't wait for that interview. Many people have asked about the many air-checks and bits that Doug had accumulated over the years. I have them and am in the process of copying them from tape and cassettes, which will eventually be made available. Doug made his last broadcast on "The Pittsburgh Oldies Channel" (Internet radio) May 25th, 2009. This was a combination of banter and oldies. The Memorial Day Marathon was 8 hrs. I will be rebroadcasting the entire show this Superbowl Sunday Starting at 1:00 PM EST. R.I.P. my dear friend, you were a funny and brilliant man that gave us some very compelling radio
