Doug Sandom, original Who drummer, 89

From the "Before They Were Famous" department: Doug Sandom, the original drummer for The Who, passed away on February 27, one day after his 89th birthday. No cause of death was mentioned. The band's record company didn't care for him, mostly because he was a decade older than the other members, so he was bounced and eventually replaced by some lunatic named Moon. Pete Townshend handled the change badly, by his own admission, but they eventually made peace.
